History
Founded in 2001, the Boulder County Immigrant Collaborative (BCIC) is a joint effort of four of Boulder County's premier organizations working with the immigrant community. Reflecting the one hundred percent increase in the number of Boulder's Latino population, many of whom are immigrants, our four organizations realized the need to coordinate our actions and therefore expand the impact of our work. The four groups, El Centro AMISTAD, El Comite de Longmont, Boulder County Community Action Programs, and Intercambio de Comunidades, have come together to address issues of immigration from the perspective of those individuals they work with and for.
Mission Statement of BCIC
The Boulder County Immigrant Collaborative (BCIC) exists to strengthen the voice of immigrants, to increase awareness of services, and to develop allies in the community in which immigrants live, work and play.
